Accessing the Backup Wizard
Login to cPanel:

Navigate to Backup Wizard:
In the FILES section of the cPanel dashboard, click on Backup Wizard.
Creating a Backup
Start Backup:
In the Backup Wizard interface, click on the Backup button.
Select Backup Type:
You have two options: Full Backup or Partial Backup.
Full Backup: This option backs up your entire account, including home directory, databases, email forwarders, and filters. Note that full backups cannot be restored through the Backup Wizard. They need to be restored by your hosting provider.
Partial Backup: This option allows you to back up specific parts of your account, such as home directory, MySQL databases, and email forwarders/filters.
Full Backup
Full Backup:
Click on Full Backup.
Choose a Backup Destination:
Home Directory: Stores the backup in your home directory.
Remote FTP Server: Sends the backup to a remote FTP server (you will need to provide the server details).
Remote FTP Server (Passive Mode Transfer): Similar to the previous option but uses passive mode for transfer.
Secure Copy (SCP): Sends the backup to another server via SCP (you will need to provide the server details).
Enter Email Address:
Provide an email address where you will be notified when the backup is complete.
Generate Backup:
Click Generate Backup to start the process.
You will receive an email notification once the backup is complete. The backup file will be available in the specified location.
Partial Backup
Partial Backup:
Click on the type of partial backup you want to create (e.g., Home Directory, MySQL Databases, Email Forwarders and Filters).
Download a Home Directory Backup:
Click Home Directory.
Click Download to download the backup file to your computer.
Download a MySQL Database Backup:
Click MySQL Databases.
Click on the database you want to back up.
Click Download to download the database backup file to your computer.
Download Email Forwarders/Filters Backup:
Click Email Forwarders and Filters.
Click Download to download the backup file to your computer.
Restoring from a Backup
Start Restore:
In the Backup Wizard interface, click on the Restore button.
Select Restore Type:
You can restore specific parts of your account, such as the home directory, MySQL databases, and email forwarders/filters.
Restore Home Directory
Restore Home Directory:
Click Home Directory.
Click Choose File and select the home directory backup file from your computer.
Click Upload to start the restoration process.
Restore MySQL Database
Restore MySQL Database:
Click MySQL Databases.
Click Choose File and select the database backup file from your computer.
Click Upload to start the restoration process.
Restore Email Forwarders/Filters
Restore Email Forwarders/Filters:
Click Email Forwarders and Filters.
Click Choose File and select the email forwarders/filters backup file from your computer.

Important Considerations
Full Backup Restoration: Full backups cannot be restored via the Backup Wizard. If you need to restore a full backup, contact your hosting provider for assistance.
Storage Space: Ensure you have enough storage space in your account for the backup files.
Backup Frequency: Regularly back up your website to prevent data loss. Schedule backups based on how frequently your website data changes.
